Full Schdule Starts Mon 6/16

Improvement in the weather over the last week has lead to better numbers of flounder.  With less wind and rain the water visibility has improved and the amount of grass has decreased.  This has lead to greater numbers of not only flounder but also smooth dogfish and some of the first king fish of the season.  It seems that the best byte over the last few days has been in the morning behind Assateague Island on the second half of outgoing tide.  With good numbers of throw backs and a few keepers mixed there is plenty of action for all.

If you would like to get in on the action come down and ride the Happy Hooker it’s fun for all ages. Stating tomorrow the boat leaves the Talbot St. peir four times a day at 900 1130 200 and 400. Its still the only $25 dollars for adults making it the cheapest fishing trip in town and like always rod and reel are included.

With warm weather comes summer flounder

Posted under What's Bitin'

Well here we are its spring again and like every year at this time flounder are one of the first fish targeted by local fishermen. The past few weeks have seen plenty of keeper flounder caught  here in the bay, from the route 90 bridge to the Vrrazano bridge even with the new 17 1/2″ min. size.  In the last week or so the snapper blues and hickory shade have also turned on adding some fun light tackle action.  If you would like to join the fun on the Happy Hooker we leave the dock at Talbot St. and the bay every day at 9:30 and 1:00.  We hope see you soon and catchem up.
